Preliminary figures show 307% growth over 2021
Preliminary data suggests that stayover arrivals into Dominica totaled 60,704, reflective of a 307% increase over 2021. By the end of November 2022, Dominica had already surpassed total arrivals for 2021and 2020. Based on its full year performance, Dominica’s tourism recovery stands at 68% of pre-pandemic 2019 – exceeding the World Tourism Organization’s estimation of 65%.
The destination continues to receive the majority of visitors from its key source markets led by the United States, French West Indies, and the Commonwealth Caribbean. Other major source markets include the United Kingdom, France, Canada, and Germany. These visitors are attracted to the island by its niche offerings in hiking, diving, nature, adventure, and health and wellness.
