Dominica Garners More Attention of Media

Dominica’s unique natural beauty and off-the-radar vibe continue to attract the attention of international media. Coulibri Ridge and Dominica’s natural surroundings were featured in the Independent UK‘s “Six of the best sustainable destinations you should visit.” The resort was also featured on New York Time‘s “7 New Escapes in the Caribbean” for a winter holiday.

The island’s colorful birds, whale watching, lush forests, nine volcanoes, numerous waterfalls, hot springs, Boiling Lake, Morne Trois Pitons National Park and endless natural beauty are all highlighted in The Points Guy‘s “10 surprising winter sun vacation destinations you may not have thought of.” Meanwhile, Secret Bay is also promoted on USA Today – 10Best‘s “These tropical resorts make you feel like you’ve escaped to the rainforest” as a vacation in heaven where the rainforest meets the sea.

Additionally, The Winners of the CJ Caribbean Travelers’ Choice Awards 2022 by the Caribbean Journal selects Dominica as the best Caribbean adventure destination, recognizing the island’s waterfalls, Boiling Lake and the Caribbean’s longest hiking trail.

We are optimistic going into 2023 with the momentum we have been seeing in recent months.

Some of these features are as a result of Discover Dominica Authority’s recent pitching efforts and the hosting of press groups on island. Since November, Dominica has been featured in 46 press placements equating to a total reach of over 1 billion impressions, at an estimated ad value of $29+ million USD. DDA continues in its mandate to effectively market the island and attract additional visitation and spend.
