Grayson Moise

Nestled in the Soufriere Valley, about one mile east of the scenic fishing communities of Soufriere and Scott’s Head, one can enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural hot sulphur pools of Bambooze Sulphur Baths. The latest addition to Dominica’s unique sulphur spas was a labor of love constructed by the owner, Mr. Grayson Moise, from the village of Soufriere.

We officially opened in September 2022. I started construction of the first pool in early 2022 after purchasing the land from a local landowner. As time progressed, and with support of friends and family, I was able to add three more pools, fenced the property, and added changing rooms, a bar and snackette.

Visitors and locals alike can enjoy the tranquility and renewal at Bambooze Sulphur Baths by allowing the whispers of the lush surrounding forest to guide them towards ultimate relaxation. The property contains four sulphur pools sourced from the Soufriere Volcano and is a pleasant addition to the community’s tourism activities.

Bambooze Sulphur Baths can be found 1/4 mile past the Soufriere Sulphur Springs site, by walking past Soufriere Guesthouse, and turning left when the road forks. Bambooze opens from 10AM to 10PM daily and may be contacted at +1 (767) 265-6694.

By December 2023, Bambooze Sulphur Baths will be adding a cold water pool with medicinal properties, complimentary herbal tea, and temperature-control abilities to suit each client’s specific preferences.

With nine volcanoes, Dominica is literally built on geothermal activity. Natural hot pools span the island, some weather and tide-dependent, each breaking up hikes or long days otherwise spent in the glorious outdoors.

An abundance of tourist attractions and adventure activities exist in the area to include swimming, diving, snorkeling or kayaking in the Soufriere Bay, Champagne Reef and Bubble Beach, hiking the Waitukubuli National Trail, and visiting the amazing Scott’s Head Peninsular boasting elevated panoramic views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Accommodation in the area includes Soufriere Guest House and Jungle Bay Dominica.
