Digicel Dominica recently presented Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) with a check of EC$251,000 at the latest press conference of the World Creole Music Festival. The cash-and-kind sponsorship was made by Mr. Victor Kovacs, Digicel’s CEO, in support of the region’s longest standing celebration of the Caribbean’s creole music culture.
DDA is excited to continue its well-established partnership with this year’s official WCMF headline sponsor. Some of our other sponsors, the Fort Young Hotel and the National Bank of Dominica, also joined us live at the weekly press conference to talk about the festival and the amazing things coming for the season – such as the many opportunities to win sponsor prizes or purchase ticket specials!
This past weekend, the Dominica Festivals Commission’s team took to the west coast one of the biggest WCMF hype roadshows to promote this year’s 23rd edition of the World Creole Music Festival along with some sponsors. Ticket buyers received opportunities to win prizes by spinning the wheel or answering trivia questions, while sponsor giveaways were also distributed.
DFC also partnered with Carib Beer for the ‘Flash Mob’ where more ticket specials were purchased. WCMF season tickets cost ECD400, while gate tickets will be sold at ECD450.
