MV Rhapsody of the Seas and MV Silver Moon Make Inaugural Calls to Dominica

The MV Rhapsody of the Seas of Royal Caribbean Cruises and the MV Silver Moon of Silversea Cruises made their inaugural calls to Dominica on December 2nd, 2022. To date, four ships have made inaugural calls to the island, with MV Evrima being the first on November 24, 2022. To commemorate the occasion, plaque exchange ceremonies were held aboard the respective vessels between government officials and the captains.

Rhapsody of the Seas is one of the latest additions to the fleet of luxury liners owned by the Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line. With a passenger capacity of 2,000, the ship is scheduled to make 12 calls to Dominica for the 2022/2023 cruise season.

Building on the phenomenal success of Silver Muse, Silver Moon mirrors her sister ship and establishes a new era of Silversea. At 40,700 gross tons with the capacity to accommodate 596 passengers on board, Silver Moon maintains the small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodation which are the hallmarks of the Silversea experience. This is the ship’s only call for the 2022/2023 cruise season.

As of November 25, 2022, Dominica has received a total of 13 cruise calls. Together, the ships brought in 18,980 cruise passengers with 73% of passengers disembarking and 54% going out on tour. With the peak of the 2022/2023 cruise season approaching, Dominica is expected to welcome 51 cruise calls in the month of December.
