Discover Dominica Authority in conjunction with Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski and American Airlines hosted a group of US luxury travel agents from June 9 -12, 2022. DDA provided support during the visit and ensured that the travel agents got a taste of the island.
The agents saw for themselves what Dominica has to offer and also experienced the resort. The purpose of the trip was to allow travel trade to capture the beauty of the island and recommend and sell it to their clients and fellow travelers.
During their stay, Discover Dominica Authority organized island tours for the group including a visit to Dominica’s majestic twin waterfalls, Trafalgar Falls and an afternoon whale watch with Dive Dominica. The group was ecstatic to have seen eight whales. On day two, the group experienced and informative guided tour of Cabrits National Park with local historian Dr. Lennox Honychurch. The day climaxed with a tour of the Indian River with Cobra Tours.
The US travel agents were all eager to learn more about the island and what it has to offer visitors and were quite satisfied. Dominica is an amazing destination with something for everyone, from waterfalls to lush rainforests. DDA looks forward to the agents securing more business for the island of Dominica especially the hotels and resorts on the island.
