Zapwater Communications, Inc., an award-winning integrated communications agency specializing in travel and lifestyle brands, has been appointed Dominica’s official representation agency in North America. The agency will lead public relations, influencer marketing, and trade relations.
Within the past few months, the Ministry of Tourism and Discover Dominica Authority held a comprehensive tender to evaluate Dominica’s representation in the US market and Canada. The process concluded with the awarding of the contract to Zapwater Communications, which began working with Dominica effective May 6th, 2022.
During the third week of May, a team of three from Zapwater Communications visited Dominica to familiarize themselves with the destination’s tourism product offerings. The team met with officials from the Ministry of Tourism, the Board of Directors and management of the Discover Dominica Authority, as well as stakeholders to get a sense of what their full-year marketing plan should be for Dominica. DDA hopes that the North American agency’s expertise will positively impact and increase the awareness of the destination in the market, and that Dominica will get more stay-over visitors given the new direct flight by American Airlines from Miami.
