DDA welcomes on board two new Nature Island Standard of Excellence (NISE) properties for this period. They are Kootney Resort located in Picard, Portsmouth and Potter’s Place on Goodwill Road, Roseau.
Kootney Resort attained NISE certification in March 2022. The property is located half a mile inland from the Caribbean Sea, in a verdant rainforest overlooking the Picard River and only a short eight-minute walk to the beach.
It is promoted as a home-away experience with cozy cottages surrounded by gardens and a private lawn. The setting is tranquil and idyllic, yet the resort offers all of the latest amenities. This modern, furnished accommodation is outfitted with fully air-conditioned bedrooms containing:

Potter’s Place is an executive style guest house located at 37 Goodwill Road in the capital city of Roseau. It is conveniently located above a busy 7-11 supermarket near the northern entrance of the city center. The guest house offers eight furnished rooms, each with its own individual theme and all modern amenities. Potter’s Place is also a Safe in Nature and COVID-19 certified property.
As of April 27, 2022, 44 properties are Nature Island Standards of Excellence (NISE) certified. This translates to 754 NISE certified rooms on island.
