Roseau Dominica – (December 22, 2017) – Dominica is truly the Nature Island!  Only three months after from the devastation of Hurricane Maria, Dominica is showing signs of the re-birth of nature.  With this, Discover Dominica Authority has launched a social media and digital awareness campaign targeted at Dominica’s key markets of the US, Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom, and the Caribbean inclusive of the French West Indies.

The Campaign highlights the attributes of the Nature Island that resonate with the true adventurer, the health and wellness fanatic, the underwater lover and of course the individual enchanted by the people and communities of Dominica.

Director of Tourism, Colin Piper is excited about the awareness campaign, “Even after a hurricane like Maria, it is pleasing to see how resilient Dominica’s climate is.  It is wonderful to showcase to our visitors that Dominica is truly nature’s haven, and coupled with the warmth and hospitality of the people, Dominica should be on your radar to visit or to revisit and rediscover!”

With work ongoing at restoring the numerous sites that the island is known for, including the Emerald Pool, Milton Falls, Botanical Gardens, Trafalgar Falls to name a few, along with private sector partners ensuring that the product of hike, dive and culture is “ready-set-go” for January 2018, the DDA is actively promoting various Voluntourism Packages that appeal to nature lovers in building back Dominica!  Visit http://dominicaupdate.com for more information.

It is expected that the Campaign buzz will increase the presence of the destination throughout the source markets and drive conversations about the Nature Island, Dominica which would lead to increased visitation to its shores.
